Good info man. I'd add to make sure that this is all congruent (meaning it fits) with who you are and who you want to pickup. For example, if you want to pick up goth babes, then going for an Athletic Well dressed avatar may be a bad idea. It DEFINITELY will be if you don't act the part. Example, if you're The athletic yuppie guy at heart, and you're hanging in a goth haunt, dressed as a goth, but you know nothing about goth culture, then there's a disconnect and you'll come off like someone who is TRYING TOO HARD to be something they're not (especially when someone asks what you do and you say "Stock trader"). You'll find it difficult to stay in set and will wonder what went wrong. The answer is: you were trying to be someone you are not.

Every lifestyle has a cool look that can be gleaned from it, make sure that whatever avatar you're trying to portray is the best / coolest you can be. and more importantly, make sure it's who you are, and that it will help you pickup the women that you are attracted to.
