books you should check out for life and pick up

Postby canibus1990 on Fri Aug 08, 2008 6:29 am

As you must now realise i am kind of a self improvement junkie and believe that good inner game, or just having a balanced life, will allow women to be attracted to you. I do agree we may need techniques and crutches etc to helps at the begginning and an understanding of women and men and relationships.

here is a list i think is real good readding material, so check it out at your library:

feel the fear and do it anyway - susan jeffers

good understanding of the word of fear and how to deal with it - goood for approach anxiety

any Dale carnagie books

my dad was politician in his country ( a small island) he had to leave school at the age of twelve, yet he became a powerful and influential people. he had respect of his peers and people more educated and richer than him. these books were what influenced him the most. These books by dale carngie, although old, are great understanding of human relationships.

publice speaking and how to win friends and infleunce people, are the two best ones

talk language and body language - allan pease

just good resources to understand these topics

infleunce - robert caldini

good book in infleunce tactics and why they work, lots of examples

Tricks of the mind - derren brown

he is magician, but uses a lot of psychology tricks, his book has some good stuff on confidence, memory techniques, hypnosis, lying,

check him out on you tube, very big in the uk

tao of jeet kun do - bruce lee

This has some great ideas and stuff, even if you not into kungfu etc, very good. Check out lots of other philospy books such as confucious, lao tze, and aesop fables.

mind gym both of them

just general self improvement

awaken the giant within and unlimited power - tony robbins

you must all know him, he does ramble on, like me, but he is passionate, and has some good stuff.

thinking course - edward de bono

maybe out of print, but good stuff on how we think, and why think such ways.

If you got any more resources please add them on to this thread.

The most important of improving game is to do it, experience it, practice it, review yourself, and improve on mistakes.

I am a maths teacher, i realised i could undersatnd maths, especially high level maths, but i was arrogent and didnt bother with lectures and doing the work. In the end i just manage to pass my exams and get my degree. i could have done so muc h more in maths if i had done the work.

it is the same for game too. you may undersatnd it, but no practice you will not improve much.

Got this book the other day:

The art of seduction - robert greene

this is agreat book. I think every one should read it at least a couple of times, best to own it. It talks about character types which seduce people, the people suspetable to seduction, and how to procede in seduction. he uses historical examples. I have to admit, a lot of the stuff he says is comparable to what david deangelo goes on about. It has very good chapter on what charisma is.

go check it out, he has another book called the 48 laws of power another good book which i have read.

Be aware he does lack a lot of morals in his writings, kind of like machivalli, but they are some good stuff in them

Pretty much the foundation of my current game can be found from Frank B. Kermit's Everything Out of Her Mouth is a Test

Frank B. Kermit's Everything Out of Her Mouth is a Test is about a woman's emotional needs and how a woman tests a man to see if she will be one of two roles in his life. Will she be his lover, or will she be his mother? From this book I was able to learn about how to avoid being an emotional cookie man, to pay attention to what a woman does rather than she says, and the idea that women have many more emotional levels than a man does. This book also taught me how a woman needs to feel a range of emotions. This book is a large part of what formed my daily interactions with women and taught me much about handle my relationships.

You may have saw Jack talk about the list of ten emotional needs that well tell you what you did wrong and what you did right in any pick-up situation, and this would be the book that explains it. I feel confident recommending this product to pretty much anyone.

I am reading this book:

Get anyone to do anything by David J Lieberman

It involves using a lot of psychological principles.

One chapter is on confidence, getting people to like you, to get them to attracted to you. How to deal with liars. And loads more.

Some of the stuff is very similiar to what is preached by the puas out there. such as socail proof, emotional communication etc.

Good stuff

Got this real cool book, its about self discipline. I have always had problems with this in my life, and has affected many areas of my life. This gives some good insights about self discipline and how to overcome it and where your lack of it occurs. IT talks about HYDE, this really a metaphor for the ego.

Self-Discipline in 10 Days by Theodore Bryant

Without self discipline, you will not be able to do what you want.

The red queen by matt ridley

great book on sexual evolution, lots of info here, and some ideas on how to improve yourself to become more attractive. A lot of the stuff in here contains the reasons why must of the pua methods works.

alan flusser - dressing the man

havent read it yet, but it makes a lot of sense and gives lots of examples (pictures) of how to be more fashionable. It does focus on suits, but it can apply to anything you wear.

sperm wars by robin bakker

like the red queen, but talks about the sexual process and why certain things happen, like cheating, multiple partners, fathers raising children that are not theirs.

emotional intelligence

social intelligence

bothe by daniel goleman

both very good books on the need for both to lead successful lives. Very heavy going in terms of science, but some golden nuggets in there.

The power of full engagement by Loehr and schwartz

this book will change the way you view you life. It talks about you energy and how to maintain and improve it, to get the best oout of life. it also has good chapter on purpose building and implementing it.
