Dave's Fitness Challenge

first of all, i would like to sincerely thank jackcoxwell for helping us out. Thanks Jack Coxwell!

I've been working out for about a year and went from mid 140 lbs to 177-180 lbs (my weight jumps around). Unfortuneatley, I can't seem to get past this plateau.

here is how i want to look and how i look now
http://gettnbig.blogspot.com/

As you can see I have a looong way to go. One thing that has been bothering me is that my left arm and chest are bigger than the right... I've been using dumbbells for a long time so i can't explain this. Also my left chest/arm is always noticeabley more sore than the right a day after a good workout.

Almost everyday for breakfast i have been blending a shake of protein powder, cottage cheese, yogurt, blueberries, creatine, flaxseed, walnuts, and milk.

I try to eat enough vegetables, fruits, and have protein bars. I also have been taking green tea extract, fish oil, and multivitamins. I do take in too much junk though (burgers, chips, ribs, pizza etc.)

I used to work out like a maniac when i was in highschool. Now i find myself in the gym probably twice a week. I have a chest, tri, shoulder day, a back, bicep day, and a legs day. I usually perform 2-3 sets with 8-12 reps. I'm not sure how long i wait between sets, but probably around 1 to 2 min.

Chest day

DB bench press
Incline DB bench press
flyes/machine flyes
shoulder press
lateral raises
Tricep Pushdowns

Back day

Deadlifts
lat puldowns
Seated cable rows
bentover rows/DB rows
DB curls
BB Curls
Reverse Curls

Leg day

Squats
Leg Presses
Leg Extensions
Calf raises

I think I look decent when i go to the gym and get pumped up, but any other time i look like a skinny, especially since i have a thin neck and forearms (Which are the most noticeable when wearing clothing) and tons of hair on my head.

Questions:
If you are sore, does that mean you should eat a lot more than usual so your muscle will repair itself?

What is your take on simple sugars before and after workout?

Do you reccommend any sups?

Thanks again and good luck on your challenge as well.
Dave
