Ofcourse people want to give away their secrets. I learned tons of stuff ont he internet.
You should try forums about bodybuilding there are tons out there and they all have GREAT nutrition parts.
Ok i'll just break this down really fast. The most important thing you can do is when you go shopping you don't buy stuff that you think hmm this tastes good or this is nice, but you have to make a switch to where you see a chicken breast for instance and you think "hmmm ok tastes good and that's mostly protein, little fat". So start looking at the back of all the boxes etc. and see how much carbs / protein / fat there's in there.
Now there are "good" and "bad" carbs, for instance sometimes it will say
carbohydrates 20 gr / 100 gr
of which sugar 15 gr
This means that from those 20 gr of carbs, 15 are sugar. Try to visualize that like ok you have this 100 gr of something 15% is gonna be sugar FUCK! Sugar is bad, it raises your xxxx levels in your blood (dunno what the english word is for it) and that will make your body store stuff as fat in stead of using and burning them. So if you eat sugar together with something else, you'll be more likely to store it as fat (that's what I understand from it).
Protein => definately the way to go, try to eat stuff that has lot's of protein, little fat, and little sugar. Try looking for stuff that has 8+ gr of protein per 100 gr.
Fat => some products contain fat, others don't. The most important thing when something DOES contain fat is that it's unsaturated fat. IT'll often say on the package if it's saturated or unsaturated. IF it doesn't say it's often saturated fat. Your body can't handle saturated fat very well and what it does is just store it as fat. Unsaturated fat your body can burn very easily and it'll either just burn it, or store it but then burn it the next time it doesn't have enough energy. Omega 3's are unsaturated fats.
In short this comes down to:
Eat chicken breasts (not the entire chicken with skin etc.)
Eat salmon / tuna (most fish is good, yes it's fatty but all unsaturated fat)
Whenever you eat a meal, make sure you put some pasta or rice with the little dark pieces (the hoods) in there. Those carbs take long to digest which means your body will have an even supply of carbs and energy for a couple of hours, so you won't get those hunger spikes, which will make you go snack.
Stay away from cheese, it's ussualy pretty fat (unlike goat cheese).
Stay away from pizza's / all fastfood basicly / hamburgers / chips / ....
If you really want to have some fast food which you buy in the supermarked go for the Lean Cuisine products, they're pretty good and are much better for your health then other stuff. They can be found in the freezers in the Wall Mart / any supermarket in the U.S.
Take it easyon the alcohol and if ýou're gonna be drinking make it wine in stead of beer..
