wings really are useless in my opinion. the way i see it, the only wing we all can count on, is our cell phone, use it. or if you disagree with me, you can still wing without having someone actually be there... try this: walk up to a random girl and say "it's for you" and have your buddy on the other end wing you from there, it actually works!

uselss? well you clearly don't have enough experience to understand when you DO need a wing. Unless you're referring to day game, which i would understand where a wing is less useful. However, in a club they are essential if you open a two set. Would you be able to tell me that they are useless then?

Depends if your wing is any good at game, even if he isn't specifically trying to game girls. I wouldn't think that one was required in day game and they can be dangerous in night-game. Take my last night out for example:

I was at a club with my friend (let's call him John), and my cousin (Jim)and his friend. I ran into a family friend (Jane) and her friend there (Sally). I'd met Sally a few times before and I'd asked her out at my cousins (Brooke, sister of John) 18th which was 2 years ago. By asking out, I mean in the old high-school way of "Will you go out with me?", she had said no. Despite this, there was no awkwardness between us or anything like that, but I wasn't really planning on gaming her, just having a chat. Anyway, the background check was needed to show you how bad and annoying a shit wingman can be. These are excerts of a conversation between myself, John and Sally. I wasn't really planning on gaming her, but, she approached us (me specifically ) and she was throwing out some IOI's towards me (again, they were coming to me, not John. This isn't the point of the post though)


Excert 1 -
JOHN: I think I've met you before. You were at his cousin's 18th (John was there as well). Yeah, when Jaffy asked you out.
SALLY: haha, yeah, I think I remember you now.
JOHN: and we had a chat afterwards and Jaffy thought that I was hitting on you (I never thought that), haha
SALLY: haha (very nervously), can we please not talk about this?
JOHN: haha, why not? lol, I'm trying to make this as awkward as possible...
SALLY/JOHN/JAFFY: ........................................

Keep in mind, that this took place very quickly and that I couldn't get a word in even though I was trying to tell John to STFU. The sad thing was that John thought he was being very smooth and funny throughout all this. Idiot.


Excert 2:
We got on to talking about clubs around Melbourne. The only crap content that came out of John's mouth was that he rated the clubs on how easy it is to pick-up. Ouch, it was getting annoying being lumped in with this fool. But undoubtebly the biggest fuck up was:

JAFFY: I love Billboards on Thursday . Massive dancefloor, great crowd, free entry and $1.50 pots all night. What more could you want?
SALLY: Yeh, I go to Billboards a fair bit. Can't believe I've never seen you there before.
And then John chimes in with -
JOHN: I love Billboards as well. All the girls there are sluts. They're not really that good-looking but you can hook up with them really easy
SALLY: Oh, well... I hope you don't think of me like that?
JOHN: (mutters incoherently)
JAFFY: awwww, don't worry Sally, you're very pretty. I'm sure your fine. (I don't really know what that means either, if it wasn't for John's stupidity I never would have had to bail out of that)
SALLY: (smiling at me)

Apart from these two fuck-ups it was just the general vibe of the conversation. Sally and myself were just chilled and relaxed (it was in the smokers outside area so excessive energy wasn't really needed) and John was obviously just thinking about his dick the whole time. Despite this I didn't do too badly. The only reason I wasn't thinking of gaming her was because I thought she wouldn't be interested in me after my cousin's 18th fiasco. However, she was giving out some IOI's and responded well enough to some kino (which I found I did intuitively, I didn't really think about touching her so I guess that is a good sign that I'm getting better at this). I'm pretty close with Jim, who's pretty close with Jane, who's pretty close with Sally and now we're all 18 and legal we'll definetnely see each other again. I think I'll be able to pick up where I left off next time I see her (without John of course). While I'm on the subject of IOI's, I think this is one but I'm not 100% sure:
SALLY: I think Jim's told you some stuff about me. Whatever he said it isn't true.
Apparently Sally had broken up with Jim's friend "xxxx" and was a real bitch about it. I remember Jim mentioning stuff about this to me but I wasn't really listening and TBH, couldn't really give a shit about 2 people I barely know breaking up. I just said - nah, not really. He's just told me that you broke up with xxxx.
I thought that this meant that she cared what I thought about her and about my opinion of her. However, she is a little "princess-like" and just may want everyone to think that she's perfect, and a real sweetie etc. Because of the other IOI's I'll assume that this was one as well.

lol, sorry all. I went off on a tangent. But, I'm a bit of a tool, and I like to talk about myself a bit so just suck it up . In short, if you have a really horny, socially troubled friend don't use him as your wingman.

They're not essential but certainly fuckin useful aye. Don't you even want some of your mates around so you can ave a good time with em?

I wish I ad better wings tbh, like wings that were into PU, I'm tired of guidin everyone's cocks yknow, tired of bein the one that gives all the advice and pushes every interaction, draggin these reluctant / unskilled fuckers along. For once, I just wana be coached!

Wings are not useless. They can brag about you in ways that you cannot (without looking like an arrogant prick) and they can occupy other people in the set while you isolate "the target" (I hate that term!). I wouldn't say they're essential, but they are handy - especially if someone is newish to game.

they can put DHV for ya its always better to hear DHV from somebody different then yourself.
