This is an idea for a thread I got from another forum I’m a member on. I play the drums so I’ve been a member on musicianforums.com for several years now. I’ve noticed that on here there isn’t a lot of daily discussion, yet each day we get a fair number of visits from both registered users and guests.

I don’t know if this thread will ever catch on; some may think it’s a dumb idea and it may just work it’s way slowly toward the bottom of the page. Either way, I figured it’s worth a shot. It works well on the other forum I post in and has remained a popular thread for years now.

The purpose of this thread is to simply get conversation flowing. A lot of times people have a quick question or need some quick advice but it’s not worthy of it’s own thread. Perhaps someone has a quick success story they want to share, or an opener they made up on spot that worked for them and feel like sharing. Maybe there’s a piece of advice you’d like to throw out there, a simple suggestion, a good video from youtube, or link.

It doesn’t have to be much, nor does it have to be game related. This “stronghold” thread is aimed to help keep the forum active. It’s a place to post anything really. It also allows everyone to get to know each member a little better which makes helping a little easier. If you know the person is rather knowledgeable about game, your responses can be more advanced and technical and vice versa.


Hopefully this thread catches on. If not, at least I tried. I’ll get us started with a random story...

I enjoy opening girls by commenting on their clothes. I saw a girl wearing a hat that was like a mix between a fedora/mobster/pimp/detective style hat. Either way, I went up to her (she was on the edge of the dance floor with a friend) and had the following interaction...

Me: Are you a detective? I’ve lost my dog.
Her: [laughing and turning to her friend to repeat what I said first before responding] No.
Me: No? I saw the hat and figured maybe you could help me.
[I’m wearing a regular baseball cap with my universities initials on it. Then I switch her hats and tell her we’re trading. She then proceeds to dance on me/with me.]
Me: Either way, what do you do then?
Her: [laughing] I’m a student.
Me: no way, me too. Where at?
Her: I go to X
Me: I go to Y. [I point to my hat which she’s now wearing]
Her: I’ve got a bunch of friends who go to Y.
Me: now way, me too. We’ve got so much in common.
Her: [laughing. Her friend was kinda of listening in the whole time. She repeats the last two lines to her friend and she laughs too.]

I don’t much remember the rest because a few minutes afterwards my friend had some guy threatening to fight him and I had to step in.

A second one that just happened last Saturday was where I saw a girl with boot like shoes on and I said I liked them because she reminded me of Pocahontas. Set hooked great. I handled her friend and the male interrupt. Lots of kino and everything. Whole lotta fun.

Parking lot game is awesome. The clubs I go to usually close around 2 am. They kick everyone out at that time and the parking lot is fun because no one wants to leave without a little more fun.

I had a girl that was an AW and teasing me and everyone the whole time. I told her Ok I'm getting sick and tired of this, either you like me or not. But I'm done, I'm not going to talk to you anymore. So make out with me or leave.

Lol I've done this a couple of times and ussualy the AW's make out with me

Yeah good thread man. There's a lot of people lurking and not talking. That parking lot thing sounds like a great idea. Works real well for approaching because the loud music element is out

A girl I was with for a couple of weeks last year got in touch with me this past week. She's at uni and has invited me to stay tomorrow night.. I'll update you all Monday

Tonight I had a shitty night. I was relaly tired, filled myself with red bull &U coffee but I was still not on top of my game. Anyway it prololy had something to do with me not having fun tonight.

I had a shitty night as well..
I think i'm gonna quit sarging in my hometown.... i was like again building on my social proof...
when i was finished that and searched persons i didn't know yet... but there weren't any left after i talked to practicly all the people there -_-
well Saterday time tonight ^^

I had a mum indicating that she wanted me to hit on her daughter at work last sunday. I work as a shelf-stacker for a supermarket and the mum came up to me because she wanted some help finding things (daughter wasn't here at that moment). So we went for a walk around the store finding things that she needed (she was having a BBQ) and talking etc. The daughter eventually found us and mum. Mum went on to introduce us and daughter went to look at something on a shelf, at this time mum motioned for me with her eyes (glanced at me and then looked at daughter, and nodded/tilited her towards daughter) to engage her. Daughter caught the end part of this motion, looked at me, went scarlet red and rushed off never to be seen again...

i dunno if its me but approaching girls using some canned lines makes me feel like a creep so i just do direct and say i think they look cute

Ok I feel better now, I was flirting with a ex Miss Universe contestant on the plane this night and she really digged me.

i'm glad to see this thread is working well.

jaffy - that's some funny stuff. you know the girl was little pissed at her mom later on in car ride home.


either way guys, i was hoping to have a nice field report for today, since some buddies and i were gonna head to a real good club to run some serious game. unfortunately we decided to reschedule for next saturday due to the terrible weather. 've been to a club when it's pouring outside so i don't know how the turn out would've been. especially considering you have to wait in line outside for a good while usually.

on top of that, it's a 1 hour drive. i don't like long drives at night in places i'm not familiar with during heavy rain.

So I was at this girls' house tonight which I've seen like 3 times now. I was fingering her until she said "stop stop or I'm going to squirt" lol this is f* horney man good stuff... she didn't because she kinda made me stop (crossing legs etc) but next time I'll be sure to do it!

My tip to everyone is what Mr and Jaffy and others keep doing. Flirting with people is a must. Even if you don't want to pick them up, I highly recommend flirting with girls - any age or status

Last week a girl got in touch with me through myspace after nearly a year. I'd been seeing her last summer and then I royally fudged her over with another girl right before she went away to uni. So after a year she gets in touch and actually isn't mad. Which was nice. I mentioned I'd be visiting her city that weekend and she suggested we meet up. I got there late at night and ended up going straight to her place to meet her. Everything you'd like to hear DID end up happening but the reason I'm typing this is that I was pretty lousy at all the things I'd read up on. I sat there and knew what I should be doing, but wasn't actually doing it. My kino especially. It was awkward. As the night progressed I got a little better and thankfully my humour pulled me through but I really need practice on this

I urge everyone who might be like me, and has read up a fair bit, to actually get out there and put theory into practice. It's totally different when you're face to face, other factors come in to play. Really really really can't stress enough to get talking and get used to flirting with girls

Even AFTER you sleep with a girl be touchy.. damn I slept with a girl last weekend this is actually a funny story I'll tell it:

There was this girl, great body, bit less face, but everybody thought she was really hot and wanted to f* her, so I thought I might as well lol. Thing is she radiated a very high value etc. She wasn't really into me, I wasn't her type. I wasn't really into her, she wasn't exactly my type. But I just wanted to see how far I could go etc.

So we started drinking (we were out with a group of colleagues) and got all drunk, then we went to party. I was sitting next to her at dinner and completely ingored her, except for a couple of short interest bursts, after which I ignored her again. Then during the party I started to talk to a lot of people, show my DHV, then made out within 2 seconds with this German girl (she saw it). She kept teasing me and friends, like flirting and dancing etc. THen I told her I was sick and tired of her teasing, she should stop and I would not give her anymore attention, or we would make out. Then just told her ok you have to make out with me right now or I'm done. lol.

She made ot with me. We went back to her hotel room and we had a bit of sex (not all the way as she had some emotional issues).

Anyway my point is the next day we were really hung over and we went out into the city to see some things but I just wasn't kinoing her, we had some fun, laughed, we made some jokes, but I didn't touch her in any way, didn't kiss her either. It was weird, akward, it didnt'go anywhere from there.
